Household survey. Collects information on income and circumstances of private households in the UK. Data includes information on disability, income, pensions, savings, benefits, households by council tax band. Approximately 20,000 households per annum
Within the DWP the FRS is used to support: Households Below Average Income (HBAI), Pensioners' Incomes Series, Income-Related Benefits: Estimates of Take-Up and DWP Policy Simulation Model and other policy analysis

Datasets available to academics from UKDS. Did not include Northern Ireland until 2002/03
