Face-to-face interviews with individuals. In 2005 and 2008 a property survey was also undertaken. Data about housing, travel and transport, education, internet usage, disability and limiting long-term illness, quality of life, participation in social and cultural activities, environment, discrimination, fire safety, economy, tenure, overcrowding, amenities, finance, opinions, and worklessness.
The successor to the Living in Wales survey is the National Survey for Wales

LIW survey data is available for Unitary Authorities; Police Regions; Fire Brigade Regions; Welsh Assembly Parliamentary Constituencies. LIW survey data is at the level of the individual but can also be analysed at household/family level.
