This database uses a wide range of data sources: ONS, DWP, DCLG, OBR, DEFRA, Understanding Society, BHPS, BIS, Health Survey for England, Public Health Survey, National Travel Survey, National Diet and Nutrition Survey, Family Food statistics, DECC, British Trust for Ornithology, RSPB, Environmental Agency, Land Use Change Statistics, England Biodiversity Indicators, This database divides the indicators into 'Economy', 'Environment' and 'Society' including information on diverse range of topics including economic prosperity, housing energy efficiency, sustainable fisheries and origins of food consumed,

The actual timescales vary between databases. 1971 is the earliest data where data is available to populate sustainability indicators. The majority of the other indicators use data sources which begin in the 1990s.
